Terms of Membership
Version 2026-10-12
1. Who we are
FamesClub is operated by FamesClub LLC, 8605 Santa Monica Blvd #272885, West Hollywood, CA 90069, USA. Contact: contact@famesclub.com.
2. Who can join
You must be at least 18 years old. Applying does not guarantee membership; we review every application personally. Until we admit you, your FamesCard remains yours and you can keep using it.
3. Your profile and your card
Use your real name and your own photo. Do not impersonate anyone. You are responsible for what you publish on your FamesCard. You choose who sees your card (your circle, your city or the world).
4. Plans
- Free — your card, the map and its places. Meets show only as an area.
- Member and Passport — subscriptions you can buy in the app: asking for a spot, wishes, Discover, hosting (from Face); Passport adds every open city.
- Black and Elite — by invitation only: we invite members from Face (Black) and Icon (Elite). With an invitation you can join them in the app as a monthly subscription. Without one they cannot be bought; a purchase made anyway gives no access and we refund it.
5. Buying in the app
Subscriptions (Member, Passport and, with an invitation, Black and Elite) and extra wishes are bought through Apple’s App Store; Apple is the seller and its terms apply to payment, cancellation and refunds. A subscription renews automatically for the same period (a month or a year) unless you cancel it in your Apple settings at least 24 hours before the period ends. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may change for future periods. Your plan ends when the paid period ends; a refund granted by Apple ends it at once.
Wishes: each plan comes with wishes for the calendar month (Member and Passport 5, Black 15, Elite unlimited). Extra wishes you buy count for the month you buy them in. Wishes you don’t use do not carry over and have no cash value.
6. Meeting people
- Meets happen in public places. A host decides who joins; the host’s circle gets in at once, others ask.
- Hosting is open from Face, with a verified Instagram and no confirmed report. A first meet has at most eight guests, and we look at every host’s first three meets.
- FamesClub brings people together; it is not a party to what members arrange. Meet responsibly, follow the place’s rules and the law (including on alcohol), and leave if you feel unsafe.
- Some places only let in guests of a certain age (in the US most bars and clubs are 21+). We mark them on the map and don’t suggest them, offer meets there or allow check-ins to members younger than that. The door always decides: bring your ID.
- Wishes stay anonymous unless they are mutual. A match lets you suggest a place and a time to meet — there is no chat — and it is not an invitation to anything else.
7. Stories
You can post stories only at a place you are at. Post only your own photos, and only show other people who agreed to it. No nudity, violence, hate, illegal content or advertising. You keep the rights to your photos and allow us to show them in FamesClub (at the place, in “Tonight” for 24 hours, and in “Best of” until you delete them). A Best of photo may become the place’s photo in FamesClub, without your name, until you delete it. We may remove stories that break these rules; three reports hide a story until we have looked at it.
8. Fame, stamps and prizes
- Your level comes from the people you met in person. Levels, stamps and seasons have no cash value and cannot be sold or transferred. A level goes down after six months without meeting anyone new (Legend and Myth stay).
- Stamps count on foot, after two minutes at a place, and at partners with the code at the counter.
- No purchase is necessary for stamps, the place of the day, giveaways, drops or Face of the month. Rewards are given by FamesClub or by partners, while they last, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Drops by members (Member and up): you can leave a moment, a spot at a meet you host, one of your wishes or one of your invitations where you stand. A moment follows the rules for stories (Section 7). A wish or an invitation nobody finds comes back to you; once found, it is the finder’s.
- Drops: a creator or partner gives a prize that is hidden somewhere in the city for a time. Everyone with a FamesCard can look for it, also before being admitted; each drop has its own official rules (linked in the app), and FamesClub is the sponsor.
- Faking your location, using several accounts or any other trick voids stamps, finds and prizes, and can end your membership.
9. Conduct
Respect other members and their privacy. No harassment, no sharing of other members’ information, photos or screenshots of their cards outside FamesClub — what happens in the club stays in the club — and no commercial solicitation. You can block anyone and report what feels wrong; our team checks every report before it has consequences.
10. The AI concierge
The concierge suggests places and meets from what FamesClub knows. Its suggestions can be wrong or out of date; check opening hours and entry yourself. Links to rides (Uber, Lyft) open their apps under their terms.
11. Removal and ending
We may remove a FamesCard that impersonates someone, uses a photo that isn’t of the owner, contains prohibited content, or is automated or spam, and we may suspend accounts that break these terms. We tell you the reason in your account; if you think a decision is wrong, ask us to review it at contact@famesclub.com. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings); a running subscription must be cancelled in your Apple settings.
12. Changes
We may change these terms. We tell you in the app before important changes take effect.
13. Your content and your username
You keep the rights to what you upload — your photo, your stories, your words. You allow us to store, resize, crop and show it in FamesClub as far as needed to run, protect and improve the club. Only upload what you have the right to use. Your username is not property: it can’t be sold or transferred, and we may take back one that impersonates someone, misleads or isn’t used. There are no public profiles on the web; what you share yourself (a picture of your card, a story) can be copied, screenshotted or cached by others, and deleting it later can’t undo copies outside FamesClub.
14. Other members
We review every application, but we can’t guarantee that members are who they say they are or how they behave. You are responsible for your meetings and conversations, online and in person. Use good judgment, meet in public places, and don’t share what you wouldn’t want shared.
15. No guarantee
Applying, a level, a plan or a purchase does not guarantee admission, an invitation, a spot at a meet, a match, entry at a partner or any particular result. Places, opening hours, stars and events on the map come from us, partners and public sources and can change; check before you go.
16. Feedback and copyright
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely and without payment. If you believe something in FamesClub infringes your copyright, write to contact@famesclub.com with your name and contact details, the work, where the infringing content is, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorized and that your notice is accurate, and your signature. We will remove content that infringes rights.
17. Disclaimers
FamesClub is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, FamesClub LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and does not promise that FamesClub will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.
18. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, FamesClub LLC and its owners, employees and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the three months before the claim arose or one hundred U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits; then they apply only as far as allowed. Nothing here limits liability for intent, gross negligence or injury to life, body or health where the law forbids it.
19. Indemnification
To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend and hold FamesClub LLC harmless from claims, losses and reasonable legal fees arising from your content, your breach of these terms or the law, or your violation of someone else’s rights.
20. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in California, unless the law of your country gives you another forum. The mandatory consumer protection of the country where you live remains unaffected, and nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer or stops you from making truthful, lawful statements or reviews.
California users: under California Civil Code Section 1789.3 you may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.
